Can you see her?
I've walked and biked past this tree countless times in the 14 years I've lived here.
How had I never noticed? I thought I noticed everything.
How had I never noticed? I thought I noticed everything.
She looks wistful, wishing, longing for the sea, land bound or lost.
I keep finding treasure in the most unexpected places.
I picked this yucca blossom to smell the fragrance.
It's a wonder I didn't sniff up the tiny white moths who lived there.
Perfectly camouflaged, hiding in plain sight.
I have to remember that there is always something beautiful and mysterious waiting to be seen.
All I have to do is look.
Sometimes no farther than my daughter's eyes.

Perfection.
ReplyDeleteLove the mermaid! She does look a little landlocked, doesn't she? Lovely pictures, all of them. Thank you for sharing that gorgeous eye!
