In the great timeline of online life, how many applications have you used? It's about a dozen for me, and I didn't know how may were out there I never knew about!

What did we do before the digital age? If I couldn't google information I'd be driving a reference librarian insane. Because I Need To Know. Right Now!


What I also need to know is why, Blogger, why, when I save a post as draft and publish it later, it doesn't show up as a new post, but on the date I first started it. I'm not as smart as I wish I were. So this post shows up twice this month, because I got a great comment from Ellen on the first buried post. I'm sure there has to be an easier way!

I'm so enamored with NASA's Earth Observatory site that I get email updates from them. Anything noteworthy happening on planet earth is usually uplinked from satellite data within hours. These are amazing times, my friends. Here are a few of my recent favorites:

Sunday Sunset

I've been taking too many pictures of the sunset for four years now. I could tell you about when it started, but that's another story.

This week I snapped 150 digital shots of one sunset, and I realize I probably need a support group as desperately as I need a new digital camera. But.

In my photo taking frenzy, I captured these moments to share.

What's important to know at this point, is I hadn't seen the sun for days.

Days.

Maybe weeks, I can't remember.

My bitching about the weather is legendary, just like the weather here.

October rained 22 days, maybe more. Lost count.

Less than 34% of the available sunshine shone.

On the 30th,

I saw sun through the window and ran outside.

Saw the clouds and thought, this is gonna be good.

Ran for the camera.

It was very, very good.

All this, plus a few honking geese and a screeching hawk.

No wonder I was mesmerized.
